At Carson's Cookie Dough, we are more than just a cookie shop - we believe in giving back to the community.
With every sale, we donate a portion of the proceeds to organizations that support adults and kids who are differently-abled.
We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and passions, regardless of their abilities.
So, when you buy from us, you're not only indulging in delicious treats but also supporting a great cause!
Our Mission
Our mission is to support differently-abled kids and adults while providing a quality, convenient and delicious product.
Our ultimate goal is to create inclusive, engaging and fulfilling employment opportunities for individuals like our son, who has autism. These members of our community deserve a chance to showcase their skills and fulfill their potential.
Since we are working to build our business and are not able to hire employees yet, we work to fulfill this mission by welcoming almost 20 students from local adult programs (18 - 21 years old) to gain work experience in the bakery. The students learn from us, but we learn far more from them. They are helping us understand accommodations we should have in place to ensure our students and future employees are set up to thrive. Beyond that, they add an immeasurable amount of joy to the bakery!
Additionally, we utilize the storefront area of our location to sell products from other similarly missioned organizations, such as Beloved Bath, Popcorn for the People, Ethan and the Bean, and Pony Power (where Carson enjoys unique, enjoyable and inclusive therapy that is effective and so much fun. Their farm is beautiful - if you are in the Mahwah NJ area you should definitely check it out!). These organizations are a huge inspiration to us and we are honored to work with them.
